Resume or CV? The format depends on the country.

One document does not fit the whole world. These are the conventions employers actually expect — ResumeCraft templates can be adapted to each.

US

United States — “Resume”

1 page (2 for senior roles). No photo, no date of birth, no personal details beyond contact info. Results with numbers win.

UK

United Kingdom — “CV”

2 pages is normal. No photo. A short personal statement at the top; “References available on request” at the end.

EU

Europe — CV / Europass

1–2 pages. The Europass format is widely accepted for public-sector and cross-border roles; a professional photo is common in many EU countries.

CA

Canada — “Resume”

Very close to the US format: 1–2 pages, no photo, no personal details. Bilingual (English/French) versions help for federal roles.

AE · SA

Gulf & Middle East — “CV”

2 pages, professional photo is common and often expected. Mention visa status and languages — both matter to Gulf employers.

AU

Australia — “Resume / CV”

2–3 pages accepted. No photo. Include a career summary and referees, or note that references are available on request.
